CHRISTMAS HAS COME TO GAUCIN
This is a time of meeting up with family and friends, celebration, enjoying traditional cakes, gifts and sharing good wishes. As in all towns, the Christmas season begins with the lighting of the Christmas street lights and the typica decorations of this time.
Town Hall staff have worked hard to make and put up the Christmas decorations alonge all streets. In addition, as every year, the “Grupo de mujeres del Ganchillo” (Women Crochet Group) spend many hours in their workshop to knit the Christmas trees so that Gaucín looks more beautiful each year.
For these dates, the Town Hall has organised various activities for everyone to enjoy, which include parties in the Plaza del Santo Niño on Christmas Eve and New Year Eve, a popular merienda, a parade with Christmas carols, an afternoon of flamenco; Flamenco Christmas carols; a concert by the Villa de Gaucín music band and the finale, the Three Wise Men Parade.
All these events and attractions are among the many reasons to join in and take part in what Gaucín offers time of year.
