September is a special month for the people of Gaucin. Close to our heart and a big part of our tradition, are the festivities in honour of the Holy Child and St John of God. The festivities are celebrated annually on 7th & 8th September.
As part of the festivities, you will have the opportunity to visit the contemporary ceramics exhibition located in the cultural center, El Convento which is taking place until September 29th.
We are delighted to see the return of the Encuentro Gastronómico. Now in its second year, this 3 day event will celebrate the best dishes and tapas of the Serranía. A great event for food lovers!

23:00 h. Dry Martina Concert.
Sunday 22nd
From 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. “Tardeo” with DJ David Jetta.
NOTE:
Both concerts, both ShowCooking and children’s workshop will take place in the Plaza del Santo Niño.

12:00 Solemn bell ringing
19:00 Procession taking the image of Santo Niño from the castle to the church.
Mass will be held in the church.
23:00 VERBENA POPULAR Party in the Plaza del Santo Niño.
Live music.
SUNDAY September 8th
08:00 DIANA FLOREADA Procession through the village accompanied by the band “Villa de Gaucín”
12:00 Mass in the church.
17:30 Solemn procession from the church through the village,until the castle.
23:00 Party in the Plaza del Santo Niño.
